RISD alumnus, Walton Ford (’82.) will be speaking in Metcalf Auditorium in the Chace Center on April 12, at 7:30 with a reception in the Chace Lobby preceding the talk at 6:30. Reserved tickets (free of charge) are available on Eventbrite:
Walton has had a distinguished international career as a painter and printmaker since the ’90s, and is currently exhibiting work in Berlin at the Hamburger Bahnhof. He is represented by Paul Kasmin Gallery in New York, Gagosian in Los Angeles, and Vito Schnabel in St. Moritz.
Walton’s work has broad appeal, exemplified by the wide support for this lecture from the RISD community: the Illustration, Printmaking and Painting departments and the divisions of Fine Arts and Experimental and Foundation Studies are co-sponsors.
Please join us for this lecture and reception and encourage your students to attend. If possible, all those interested should go to the Eventbrite site and register of tickets as soon as possible, so we can get a sense of audience numbers.
